Recently, a bill to end the obligation of ZFE (Zones à Faible Emission - Low Emission Zones) for large cities was proposed via the simplification law. Isabelle Coll, a teacher-researcher at LISA, was interviewed on this subject, and here are her answers to questions about pollution in big cities, the efforts made and the differences according to social level.

ZFE were introduced in 2019 and extended in 2021 to limit vehicle-related pollution in urban areas. They are based on the use of Crit'Air stickers, which classify vehicles according to their emissions of fine particles and nitrogen oxides.
