Distribution web page - Sahelian Dust Transect


Since 2015, the "Sahelian Dust Transect" is part of the National Observation Service INDAAF (International Network to Study Deposition and Atmopsheric chemistry and AFrica) supported by the French INSU-CNRS and the IRD .

The Sahelian Dust Transect was deployed in 2006 by Béatrice Marticorena, Jean Louis Rajot and Bernadette Chatenet in the frame of the AMMA International program.

The scientific PIs are Béatrice Marticorena (Beatrice.marticorena@lisa.u-pec.fr) and Jean-Louis Rajot (jeanlouis.rajot@ird.fr).

The technical Pis are Anaïs Féron (Anais.Feron@lisa.u-pec.fr) and Cécile Gaimoz (Cecile.Gaimoz@lisa.u-pec.fr).

The stations are managed by local technicians from the different hosting institutions.

We also largelly benefit from logistic and administrative support from the Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) and in particular from the African IRD representations in Niger (Oumarou Malam Issa), Mali (Bruno Sicard, Sahada Apoudjac) and Senegal (L. Vidal).
