Synopsis

Pr. Jean-Francois Doussin was appointed as Maitre de Conference (Lecturer) in Chemistry at the University of Paris 7 - Denis Diderot on 1st September 1998. He has been a member of the research group leaded by Dr. Patrick Carlier "Physico-chemical reactivity of trace compounds in the atmosphere" at LISA for over 10 years. Pr. JF Doussin is now leading the "MEREIA group" which comprises seven permanent researchers. The activities of this research group are dedicated to both field and airborne measurement of VOCs and NOy species and experimental atmospheric simulations. These latter activities have been recently considerably extended to multiphase experimental simulations with the building of CESAM chamber , a new rigid indoor chamber designed to perform multiphase experiment involving secondary aerosol, mineral dust or/and cloud droplets.

In 2008, JF Doussin has been appointed as full professor of the University Paris-Est Val de Marne (Paris 12).

His work in the field of experimental simulation of atmospheric chemistry has resulted in 39 peer-reviewed articles and more than 50 communications in conference proceedings. He has been a regular user of the European Photoreactor and spent seven months in 2001 in the research group of Professor Barbara Finlayson Pitts in the University of California (Irvine).

At the French National level, Pr. Doussin is a member of the Scientific Committee for Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (CSOA INSU) since 2006 and is the chairman of this institution since 2012
