Synopsis

Expert en chimie atmosphérique, spécialisé dans l’étude des processus de transformation des micro-contaminants atmosphériques en vue d’en évaluer les impacts sur la réactivité atmosphérique, la qualité de l’air et le climat, je conduis depuis une trentaines d’années des travaux, combinant simulation expérimentale (chambres de simulation telle que CESAM que j’ai conçue) et mesures de terrain, en mer ou aéroportées, visent à améliorer la compréhension des mécanismes de pollution urbaine, régionale et globale, ainsi que leur intégration dans les modèles de qualité de l’air et de climat. Ils comprennent une forte composante de développement méthodologique et instrumental (systèmes optiques et spectroscopiques, réacteurs, méthode de simulation de systèmes atmosphériques, métrologie…). Reconnu à l’international, je collabore intensément avec la plupart des pays européens et aux Etats-Unis avec l’University of California à Irvine, Colorado University à Boulder et l’University of San Diego. Invité à plusieurs reprises pour des séjours à l’étranger, j’ai participé à de nombreux projets nationaux et européens en situation de responsabilité de workpackage ou en coordination. Je me suis particulièrement investis dans la construction d’infrastructures de recherche nationales et européennes, notamment EUROCHAMP-2020 et ACTRIS.
